Dr Jazlan came highly recommended by a friend who also had her baby with Dr Jazlan. He seeks to understand my concerns and was very patient in addressing my long list of questions throughout my pregnancy. Being in a mixed marriage also means that it can put pressure on a mother to cope with both the Chinese and Malay restrictions.
Dr Jazlan explained what was considered superstitions vs medical advice so that we can make informed decisions. Both hubby and I are very comfortable with Dr Jazlan and the way he handled us as first time parents. Knowing that a c section can be quite scary, he and his staff did all they can to keep me calm.
We paid about 100 odd for consultation and another 100 odd for monthly ultrasound. The money was worth it. Dr Jazlan also performed circumcision for our son at 8 days old and 1.5 years later, he is still our son’s favorite doctor. For those who have troubled pregnancies, he even has a tv series on Suria (toggle tv) called Belaian Jiwa which helped some of those I know cope better with their health.
Dr Lee is my gynae. I like that he is very detailed, doesn't rush through his appointments and takes time to explain things. He remembers my condition and it's like a personalized doctor-patient relationship. I have seen 2 other gynaes at TMC and I feel like I'm just a case file to them.Dr Lee has one nurse and she is very efficient. I usually get to see the doctor at the appointment time or at most half and hour wait.
I'll strongly recommend Dr Jonathan Wee! I hate to waste time waiting, and with Dr Jon, the longest I'd to wait was 30mins and that's coz I was late. Usually, waiting time is 10-15mins, pretty good I'd say compared to most gynae. Main reason is that they totally don't take walk in except for emergency. So, this makes a difference to the patients who've made appointments.
I am currently under Dr. Lim Teck Beng's care until i give birth. I chose him over the others because his clinic is closer to where i live and he has been my sister's gynae 2 years ago. His expertise is already tested and he is a trusted gynae of the family. Dr. Lim's greatest quality so far is his unending patience and generous heart!
Both my husband and I are very happy with Dr Wendy Teo. She's an empathetic, highly experienced (you can see her credentials published on her clinic's website), and decisive obgyn. These qualities together, inspire confidence and trust in her - very important! She presented adequately to us the options available (supplements, screenings, procedures etc) and her recommendations at the various key stages of my pregnancy journey. Appreciates that many of us nowadays gather a lot of information from online sources, and patiently addressed any questions we may have arising from those readings.
Had our baby on a Sunday. On the day my water bag popped (a Sunday), Dr Wendy was readily contactable from the start (2+am), and communicated well with Mount E Novena / the anaesthetist. Throughout our wait for further dilation and effacement, we were supported and monitored closely by MEN's nursing staff, and were aware that they continue to update and get instructions from Dr Wendy. With first examination by Dr Wendy at dawn (6+am) and later (11+am), our baby was safely delivered.
Heard from MEN nurse that she also attended to two other patients who had safe deliveries that same day.
Dr Lee Keen Whye is fantastic! He is a very experienced gynae with so many years in practice. I found him fatherly and comforting. He also gives very practical advice that is easy to follow.
I'm in week 24 with Dr Poon,a first-time mum. He is really caring and gentle, with nice and responsive clinic staff as well. We had called up to enquire about our baby movement but sensing our anxiety during the call, Dr Poon and the clinic staff took the initiative to offer an appointment for us the very next day (even though it was already pretty full. They also offered the day itself actually, but I chose the next day due to work).
I could sense that Dr Poon was genuinely concerned about my baby during the visit too and after doing the scan it brought great relief that it was just me who isn't sensitive enough to feel the baby moving. Baby actually moved quite a few times during the scan! Not to mention he was very reassuring as well after checking and suggested ways for me to try sensing the movements better.
I think I am in good hands!
