Dr Freda Khoo Wan Yu

Dr Freda Khoo is a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology with Freda Khoo Clinic For Women. Prior to private practice, Dr Khoo was a former Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Kandang Kerbau Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She was also a Clinical Core Faculty Member for the SingHealth PGY1 Residency Program, Clinical Lecturer for the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Adjunct Instructor for the Duke-NUS School of Medicine, as well as Clinical Faculty for the NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

Dr Khoo obtained her medical degree from National University of Singapore (NUS) and obtained her obtained her postgraduate degree from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, London. She also obtained her Master of Medicine (O&G) from NUS. She is a accredited Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with the Specialist Accreditation Board of the Ministry of Health, Singapore.

During her tenure with KKH, she gained much experience in managing various obstetric and gynaecological conditions, handled many deliveries in different clinical scenarios, and performed many surgeries for various gynaecological conditions, like fibroids or ovarian cysts. Due to her dedication and focus on patient care, she has won multiple service awards, such as the KKH Service from the Heart Awards in 2015 and 2016, the SingHealth Excellence Awards in 2017 and 2018, as well as the Long Service Award in 2016.

Dr Khoo is an accredited specialist for Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgeries (keyhole surgeries). She is also an accredited Colposcopist with The Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology of Singapore.
