Can urination after sex prevent pregnancy?

Doctor's Answers 2

We encourage women to urinate after sexual intercourse. It helps to prevent urinary tract infection amongst those who are somewhat prone to UTI.

However, it does not prevent pregnancy, The risk of pregnancy increases with deposition of sperm fluid around the vagina or inside the vagina. There are many methods to prevent pregnancy; passing urine after sex is not one of them.

Not at all! Please use proper reliable contraception. You can get this from your gynaecologist or GP.
