Treatment effectiveness of the PIH per se is at best modest. Treatment modalities include sun protection, lightening creams, exfoliation strategies and pigment laser treatment.
Combination of the above treatment modalities arguably gives the best results albeit at higher costs and requires the experience of the doctor to combine treatments safely and effectively.
Overall, depending on what combination is finally chosen, costs may vary from tens of dollars to several thousands.
