When will my period resume after giving birth?

It is not surprising that your period has not returned even though you are 7 months postpartum because of the very fact that you are still breastfeeding!

Some women may not get their periods back even up to a year after giving birth as they continue to breastfeed their child throughout.

Women who do not breastfeed may expect their periods to return much quicker, as early as 6-8 weeks after their delivery.

However, should you experience any further symptoms that may be of concern to you, it may be good to see a doctor for more advice.
