What STD screen should I go for after unprotected anal sex?

Unprotected anal sex is a very risky form of sexual intercourse. It puts you at higher risks for the different Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs). You are also at a higher risk for HIV infection as compared to vaginal or oral sex. I would highly discourage you from taking part in unprotected anal sex. Please use a condom if you do want to engage in anal sex.

Are there any side effects to over-consuming whey protein?

When it comes to food, it is always advised to practice moderation. Overconsumption happens when you are taking more than what your body needs or uses up. For eg, bodybuilders take whey protein several times a day but they also work out several times a day so their body uses up the protein. If a normal person takes the same amount but doesn't work out as much, then there will be too much protein. Excess protein will be excreted out by the kidneys and if this happened too often, the kidneys may get damaged.

Which specialist should I consult for a high platelet count?

A high platelet count or thrombocytosis doesn't necessarily means you need to see a specialist. We need to see how high it is, whether there are other parameters which are also abnormal. Need to find out if you have any symptoms which may point to the possible cause. There is a long list of thrombocytosis like blood loss, iron deficiency, hemolytic anemiaI would suggest you see a GP first so that he can take a look at the full results, ask you further questions, examine if required. He will then be able to decide on what is the next best course of action. You may or may not need a referral.
