Can Coolsculpt be safely performed after a Caesarean section?

Doctor's Answer

Yes. Coolsculpting can be safely performed after a Caesarean section if the Caesarean section surgery was done at least 6-12 months before. Generally it takes at least 3 months for the Caesarean section wound to heal completely.

Also, during abdominal coolsculpting or fat freeze treatment, the handpiece is not placed over the Caesarean section scar if your Caesarean scar is the low transverse(most common) type.

Hence, if your Caesearean section was uncomplicated and has fully healed, abdominal coolsculpting/fat freeze treatments can be safely done. However, you should go to an experienced doctor for this and have an assessment by him or her prior to any treatment.
