Excessive sweating causing potassium deficiency is generally very rare.

Sweat contains water, minerals, lactate and urea. Amongst the minerals in sweat, sodium and potassium make up the majority of these minerals. Hence, by excessive sweating, both sodium and potassium can be lost this way.

However, with proper hydration and diet, the chances of this happening are very low.
