How soon can I smoke a cigarette after ICL eye surgery?

Doctor's Answer

Questions like this are best answered by your own doctor, because there is no single fixed answer.

But if I were you, I would take this opportunity to quit smoking.

Having gone through the trouble and expense of surgery, I would try to make my clear vision last as long as possible. This is taking into account the fact that smoking is associated with earlier cataract development and a higher risk of macular degeneration in the future.

In other words, might as well make the most of the clear vision you have now, as well as the huge amount you will save by kicking this addiction!
