Hi there,
What your suffering from is the spectrum of acne vulgaris ( aka pimples ), I would use a combination of both chemical peels plus a picosecond laser (my favourite is PicoSure) to treat it.
The chemical peel I would prefer would have a majority of salicyclic acid content which is able to kill bacteria, unclog pores, and exfoliate dead skin debris and calm down active acne. Modern salicyclic peels are able to achieve the above effects without much peeling or downtime.
After 2 weeks, I would then perform PicoSure to reduce the size of the open pores with the Focus Lens Array, and also reduce the aftermath of the acne marks ( aka post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation). PicoSure is also very special that it can flatten active acne pustules immediately with its laser which can be tuned to be very targeted and focused on the pustules.
My patients usually get immediate relief in the next 1-2 days after the above treatments.
Depending on the severity of the condition, oral antibiotics and topical treatments ( like clindamycin) should also be added on to this treatment. A good home care regime designed for acne skin is also important ( I prefer Aknicare and SkinBetter Alpharet Exfoliating Peel Pads).
Hope that helps!
