One of the side effects of filler injection is bruising. Bruising is due to deposits of blood in the skin at the site of injection. The immediate treatment, if bleeding is encountered during the injection, is to compress the area for several minutes. This will stop the bleeding and limit the size of the bruise.
The bruising will gradually clear without any treatment. This may take 1 to 2 weeks to settle.
