How can I tell prostatitis by Candida species fungus from UTIs and STDs?

Doctor's Answer

The symptoms of prostatitis can range from perineal pain or discomfort to pain during ejaculation to lower urinary tract symptoms eg slow stream, frequency and urgency of urination. It is difficult to differentiate fungal UTI from bacterial UTI.

Most STD in men would present with dysuria or pain during urination (typically burning sensation when peeing) and more often than not an abnormal penile discharge. Other presentations include growths or ulcers on the penis.
