Depending on your condition that is being treated and the type of laser used, there may be no risk at all after stopping laser treatment.
If the laser treatment is just to suppress pigment formation (e.g. laser toning for melasma), then recurrences often occur upon stopping. In some cases, rebound (recurrences that are worse than the beginning state) may occur as well.
Often, there are effective treatment options that may achieve the desired clinical outcome other than repeated laser treatments which you can discuss with your preferred Aesthetic doctor.
