There are 2 methods usually. First is Cryolipolysis (Coolsculpting / Zimmer / Cooltech / Cryolipo) which involves subjecting pockets of fat to temperatures of -6 to -8 degrees Celsius and the other is using High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (Liposonix) to target the fats and subject them to a high temperature to melt them.
Both are good first options to reduce localised fat tissue.
