What should I do next if I had blurry vision for the past one year after a foreign body was removed from my eye?

Doctor's Answer

Hi Rebecca

Foreign bodies in the eyes can have different effects on the eye depending on where they end up (For example, under the eyelid, or on the cornea). Sometimes, after they are removed, there may be no lasting effects also. In other words, there might even be some other cause of the blurred vision that is not related to the foreign body.

As such, we would have to do a complete check up for your eyes before we get a better idea of the cause of your blurry vision.

If previous consults did not provide an answer or solution to your visual problem, I would advise you to arrange an appointment with a different doctor for a second opinion.
