You have post-inflammatory erythema. This is the initial stage of the healing process. In several weeks, the area may likely turn brownish as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation sets in.
If you can be patient, avoid sun exposure and further injury/irritation to the affected area and the condition will gradually clear on its own.
