Why do I only have acne on my cheeks?

Doctor's Answer

Hi Sarxqq – the cheeks and T zone are actually one of the most common areas for acne to break out at. It’s also common to start getting acne around the ages of 17-21 – I should know! That’s the same age I started breaking out.

The best advise I can give you right now is DON’T POP THE ZITS. I have more than a few acne scars as a testament to itchy fingers in my younger days.

Be mindful that over washing your face can result in increased oil production and worsening your acne – twice a day, as long as it’s not with any overly harsh cleanser is fine.

To clear your face up, you can start by reading this article on acne treatment in Singapore I wrote some time ago about where I’d start with myself if I could turn back the clock.

Cheers
