How do I get rid of bumps under the skin at my forearm area? (photo)

Doctor's Answer

Thank you for the question. From the photo, it does appear that you have multiple bumps on nodules on the forearms. These are likely to be due to multiple cysts or lipomas, which are abnormal proliferation of fat tissue.

Some individuals may be genetically prone to developing multiple cysts or lipomas in the skin. The only way to remove the bumps is by surgical excision but is is usually not practical to excise them all.

You may consider doing an excision biopsy of one of the bumps to send it for histological confirmation of the diagnosis.

Do see your dermatologist/doctor to do a proper examination and advise you further on the diagnosis and treatment options.
