What factors are considered when assessing if a patient is suitable for MIS bunion removal?

Doctor's Answer

For specifics I will defer to one of my esteemed surgical colleagues, but you are correct that there are a number of factors that influence treatment decisions. The main ones being the seriousness of the deformity, the health of the patient and what the surgeon themselves are able to provide.

I would suggest consulting a surgeon if you are considering an operative approach, but if you haven’t tried non-operative treatments, seeing a Sports/MSK physician or a podiatrist might be a good option.

Hope this helps.
