Which lasers are best for red and brown acne pigmentation on the face? (photo)

Doctor's Answer

Sorry to hear you are troubled by post acne red and brown marks. These are very common in acne patients and of course a source of concern. It is most important to first ensure active acne is no longer an issue, as each new acne spot can potentially leave a new mark on your skin.

From my experience I will usually target the red marks with a VBEAM laser, which is excellent at shutting down the dilated vessels causing the red marks In addition, I will suggest a non-ablative laser such as Excel V or Genesis laser to even out the brown marks. Good improvement can usually be seen after 2-3 monthly sessions. Do visit a doctor or dermatologist with experience in treating acne scars to help you further.

Warm regards
